PSAROPOULA RESTAURANT

The office 2728studio undertook the complete renovation of the restaurant ‘s Psaropoula’ on the beach of Panteli, in Leros.
The simple luxury, the classicism that characterized the pre-existing situation, acted as a catalyst in the memory and in the future continuity of space with the aim of projecting the Aegean spirit through a modern approach.
The aim of the design team was to maintain natural beauty adapted to its aesthetics.
The study kept the beach intact, while envisaging the use of natural, almost raw materials such as wood, stone and ropes. The interior of the store is limited and so the reconstruction was done outdoors.
The purpose was to deal with the natural phenomena of the Aegean climate, with intense sunshine and strong winds. Simple means and natural materials covered the different shading needs for every part of space and every hour of the day. Particular emphasis was placed on design to maintain visual comfort from anywhere.
All the constructions are not permanent in order to be collected at any time required and to leave the beach free.
Psaropoula is characterized by the simplicity and elegance of a simple, fresh space, without picturesqueness and repetitions. An ensemble integrated into the magic bay of Panteli, with different speeds and uses.
From the comfortable lounge areas, the dining areas to the beach with the wooden sunbeds and the handmade umbrellas it can serve and satisfy any customer.
