PARAFOTIS APARTMENTS
LEROS, GREECE | 2026
The office 2728studio managed the complete renovation and decoration of a tourist accommodation Papafotis Apartments in the Alinda area, in Leros.
The accommodation is spread over two floors. Radical interventions were carried out on the interiors to increase the number of rooms but also to achieve an understated luxury and a modern approach.
In the exterior spaces the interventions were milder maintaining the building volumes adding shading systems, a new breakfast area and private areas with jacuzzi.
The aim of the owners was to emphasize luxury, to create spaces that resemble an island style but presented in a modern way.
Rooms and common areas were redesigned and 3 types were created to meet all customer requirements.
The main materials chosen are wood, stone, mosaic, natural materials, fabrics in earth tones, textiles and pressed cement mortar.
Particular attention was paid to the lighting of the exteriors as well as the interior sections.
In the outdoor spaces, it was chosen to illuminate the blinds and shades with linear lighting to highlight their shapes and the building volume of the accommodation.
In the common areas, lamps with an asymmetric beam were chosen.
Hanging straw handmade lamps were placed in the breakfast area. In the interior spaces, hidden lighting was placed in the ceilings and in the built structures. Special eccentric plaster lamps were placed on the curved ceilings which create a theatrical setting.
